I had a scrap piece of aluminum bar, and put a twist into it to stiffen it.
Drilled out the rivets in the scoop, drilled matching holes in the handle, and bolted it together.
Now my ladle is plenty long to scrape the bottom of the boil kettle without getting the fingers toasty. Why didn't I think of this before?
Just one of those things you have to be ready to deal with while homebrewing!

Fix Ladle
The ladle that I have used for dozens of homebrewing sessions decided that now would be a good time to fall apart. I guess it wasn't up to stirring that much grain.
